About Neck Pain
According to the Australian Government’s Health Direct Website, the pain often spreads from the neck towards the shoulders or upper back, and it often causes headaches. You might find the pain is worse when you hold your head in one position for a long time, for example, at a computer. Neck pain might also come with muscle tightness or spasms, and you might not be able to move your head very well.
If you suffer from neck pain, you’re not alone. Up to 50% of people will experience neck pain at some point in their life and general practitioners are consulted seven times per week for neck pain.
Chiropractic care is one way to manage and relieve swelling and discomfort caused by neck pain. Chiropractors work in partnership with their patients to provide appropriate, tailored care as well as provide lifestyle advice to help prevent reoccurrence.
Headaches
Every Australian has suffered through a headache of some variety, some can be bought on through lifestyle related issues, such as poor diet, stress, muscle tension, and lack of exercise.
Dull, aching head pain
Sensation of tightness or pressure across your forehead or on the sides and back of your head
Tenderness on your scalp, neck and shoulder muscles
About Headaches
Headaches are one of the most common health-related conditions in Australia, according to the Victorian Government’s Better Health website around 15% of Australians take pain-relieving medication for a headache at any given time. That is over 4 million of us.
Because headaches are so common, most people think getting a headache is a normal part of life. Although it may be easy to take certain medication to mask the pain, if you’re a constant sufferer it could be time to try something new.
Chiropractors use specific, gentle spinal adjustments to help alleviate headaches and can also provide lifestyle advice on helping to prevent their reoccurrence.
Brain Fog Syndrome
Brain fog syndrome is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It is where there is a metaphorical haze, heaviness, or fog that affects how well your brain works.
Trouble remembering what was said to you, even 10 seconds ago
Difficulty understanding even simple directions or concepts
Frustration being unable to find basic words to explain things
“Heaviness” or pressure in the head, that can cause head, neck, and jaw pain
Exhaustion that does not go away no matter how much you sleep
About Brain Fog Syndrome
Brain fog syndrome goes beyond a “senior’s moment” or simple forgetfulness also. It affects your ability to think clearly, which ultimately affects your emotions and your mood.
Frustrated. Short-tempered. Depressed. Anxious. Weary. Teary..
The potential list is endless.
What makes brain fog syndrome particularly troublesome is that it is not something that you can mentally block out. In that, that is the whole nature of the problem.
Even things like headaches, migraines, neck pain, jaw pain, and low back pain you can “block out.” When it is the ability of your brain to function, that is a whole other matter.
To make matters more troublesome is that you can remember clearly feeling “normal” before brain fog syndrome was part of your daily life. You do not like how it feels at all, and you would be willing to do anything to just get back to enjoying your life.
